How It All Began

Hi Everyone !!!

I'm Sharmistha.

Born and raised in the vibrant tapestry of Chandigarh, India, I have always been captivated by the complexities of human relationships and the nuances of social structures. Growing up, my father’s job as an airman in the Indian Air Force took us to different corners of the country, allowing me to witness diverse cultures, traditions, and, most importantly, the intricacies of human nature. I saw firsthand the beauty of our social systems and the unnecessary barriers we often create within them. These experiences shaped my perspective and, eventually, my stories.

The Leap of Faith

Armed with a Master's degree in English Language and Literature, I followed the conventional path, completing my B.Ed to secure a stable job as an assistant teacher. But deep down, something always felt incomplete. Teaching was fulfilling in its own way, but I yearned for something more—something that allowed me to create, to express, to tell stories that resonated with people. That’s when I made the bold decision to leave my job and chase my lifelong dream of becoming an author.

Why I Write Romance

There’s something magical about love stories—the way two souls find each other against all odds, the quiet moments of understanding, the grand gestures, the serendipitous encounters. Romance is not just about love; it’s about life, laughter, and those little unexpected moments that shape our journeys. My stories are lighthearted romantic comedies infused with the essence of Indian life—the chaos, the warmth, and the undeniable charm of everyday experiences.
